Conception Bay Paddle & Photos

Last Saturday we enjoyed the warm November sun on the water of Conception Bay, where I went kayaking with a couple of people. We paddled for about 10 km and then relaxed in the sun lying on the stern decks of our kayaks in Portugal Cove (map). I really enjoy the paddling and continue to learn things about the ocean - such as the difference between swells that gently lift your boat and only show their force when crashing onto the shore (as prevalent this past Saturday) , and steep wind waves (2 weeks ago) that wash over you kayak here and there and, while fun, are generally a lot more work to paddle in (as experienced 2 weeks ago). Both kinds of waves, however, are not conducive to unwrapping sensitive electronics such as a digital camera, so there's not a lot of pictures, but I did post 2 or 3 along with some more photos of the olympic torch as requested (here).
